You should ideally run your aircon for 30 minutes once a month to clear the bacteria out and to ensure the aircon works efficiently. You should also try to run it on the hottest setting with the aircon on. I do that regularily and have never had a strange smell.

I used it last month. Tax disc had arrived within 4 days so Ill be using it again!
