Those Team Clio graphics are disgusting! Not sure on the colour/stripes combo either..
Surely if theyre trying to make it look like a focused, stripped out version it should have the CUP pack as standard? Maybe for the UK market they will cut Air Con altogether as i wouldnt say its a...
The 206 looks like the normal GTI but modified by halfords, those big 17s look ungainly, there isnt purpose of intent look like the Clio.
I personally couldnt take driving a car panned by all the car magazines. Id probably duck everytime a CTR, Clio, Leon owner drove past me.

Speed is fun but you can get more from a decent handling car.
Tom and Adam are right..
FK coilovers made a big difference to mine, i spent close to a grand buying them, getting them fitted and then set up. I would consider them a must buy!
I also had 4 pot brakes, they were also expensive...
From my experience with my dealer they didnt mind 4 pot brakes, coilovers, exhaust etc. Obviously if a suspension associated problem arose, it would be your problem!

Youre not missing out on the sunroof. Its cack.
It would be hard to be nice to the Clio compared with an Elise, so can understand what you mean.
Nice review :)

The advantage with Adrian Flux is that you have a Modified Car Policy, so you can add more and more modifications (within reaon) without your premium changing.
I think i paid £400 over what directline wanted, which would of been fine as i was originally planning a lot more stuff for the...
Dan,
I am currently insured with Adrian Flux for £1400 (with a years worth more of driving under my belt). Im insured with the brakes, coilovers (lol) and everything on that..
-Rob
Yeah thats a pretty good quote to be honest Dan. Who is that with?
I take it that is without mods? You cant get insured with mods until your at least 19 with most companies.

4,000 is no experience at all.. i would say its a bad move getting a Valver. I personally wouldnt even contemplate TPFT insurance anyway.
Speed is relative, as i keep saying, youll always want something faster and there will always be someone faster than you. These days especially you rarely...
As someone said theres no real need to do it on a FWD save for mechanical sympathy. Something which hardly gets mentioned on here is trail braking which is also a very important technique. Youll need to learn how to left foot brake which takes a while to get used to!
Double de-clutching is...
I drove a modified Civic today, not some bolt on job, properly set up, like the B class of the Touring Cars they had a couple of years a go.
Very good! Standard car is poo IMHO but those double wishbones at the back means when it comes to racing theres a lot more potential than the Clio. Might...
I saw a yellow one a couple of weeks back, the owner only lives 5 minutes from my house as well.. Otherwise only ever seen Silver ones.
I think even rarer though is a non-sport yellow mk2 clio (pre facelift). I saw one on the M25 with some white 16s on. Very nice.

I would go on Badinvicibles idea, what do you use it for?
Personally theyre far to heavy for me and that haldex sytem just doesnt work on track which is where i like to spend my time. Looks nice though.

Newer models are much improved. When i pay £50 for 3 years servicing and have dealers who actually listen to me it will soften the blow if i get something going wrong!;)
-Rob
Well thats now why i own a BMW Mini, initially i could outweigh the problems with the character etc. but eventually all that b****cks just wasnt enough. I still have the Clio but i actually hate the thing, cant wait till its gone!
