How long would it take to reach 80c Jay? Also when at that temp would it be possible fo the coolant to fall below 80c after sensible driving?? (that may be a stupid question)
I remember an EVO when they tested the 172 vs the Cupra R performance was near on identical and the handling circuit times were the same and they praised both cars for their handling.
Yeah ive driven a Ibiza Cupra R a "normal" Ibiza Cupra and a chipped Ibiza Cupra. If you have got a bit more cash id get a Leon Cupra R (huge tuning potential) and a brilliant car.
Also if your friendly with your local service ppl they wont give a sh*t about your de-cat and if your that worried remove it before it goes into the garage for warrenty work or services.
How can you get in deep sh*t? If you fail a road side test all they can do is fine you (60£)and make you take a MOT. As for it invalidating your warrenty, it doesnt if you go in with a fault which was casued by the de-cat you will have to fix it but the warrenty on the whole engine is not...
