Update : Car was in at Renault and they couldnt find anything wrong with my car, they said they flushed the ECU of faults and checked some things then gave me the car back. This had already been done by a local garage so I knew this wouldnt fix the problem even tho I took the car back and...

Dont just get a back box, get the whole thing. I think if you just buy a magnex back box you cant fit the magnex mid section at a later date (it wont fit the magnex bb you can buy separately

Maybe the R S ECU for the 172 is fecked up? I know the trouble mathew had with his and if his idled stupidly high, maybe Mikes is the same!

Cant really see the point in fitting one to a car like the 182, but if you want that extra bit of security it cant do any harm.

The 172 will be even worse then, same equipment but noticeably slower. Nothing "special" about it now as well, at least a Cups a Cup if you know what I mean. ;) Neil :o
