Its different in your situation tho, if you were paying the normal going rate it would have made much more sense to mod the 172. But as you say at the "P & T" price it would be rude not to get one! :)
If your getting it at the extract piss from Renault customers price go for it m8! If you can get a pretty good price for exhaust/splitter it will cost you sweeties to change your car.
How much they giving you off the 182? Personally I cant see why you would swap a 172 (especially that colour) for a 182 (if your getting it at the piss take F & F price go for it tho) If your into modding just spend 1k on mods:
£300 - Magnex
R Sport ECU - £240
Panel Filter - £30
De-cat - £100...
Is it intermittently hitting a lower limiter at about 5-6 k? I bet if you run it for a few more days it will eventually not start! (That’s what happened to me a few months ago)

What do you think of this "Friends and family" thing. Normal paying customers getting charged £13500-£14000 for 182s others getting them for £10800.

So the coupes 60-100 is flattered by the fact it doesnt need any gear changes to go from 60-100, interesting... same goes for 1/4 mile. Do you know the 0-90 of a Coupe?
