No problems with the battery, its a brand new one. It does have 2 amps wired to it however it did it even before that. Is there any way for me to stop the fanbelt noise and make the car a little more powerful, with a noticeable difference?
It wasnt a race or anything. I have just noticed how terribly slow and unpowerful my car is through its gears compared to this guys (which i see quite often, he lives across the road from me)
I also notice one of the belts in the engine seems to make a really wierd noise. Almost like a squeaking sound when I start up the car. Anyone else notice this or is it just mine.
The other clio/saxo thread made me ask this :P Ok so I know this guy who has a 1.1i saxo and I have a 1.2 clio. His car is clearly a lot faster than mine. Is this normal? Are 1.2 Clios slower than other cars of the same range?
Ok. So I got £15 Halfords vouchers for christmas and had not actually spent them yet. Today I decided to go and spend it as the vouchers have been clogging up my wallet for long enough. Witha little extra money added I bought a Ripspeed handbrake, it has a small carbon fibre bit near the end...
Has anyone used expanding foam on a mk1 boot lid? Just wondering as it seems quite tricky to get to certain places. There is also quite a lot of little holes in the inside of the boot lid, it seems to me that foam will come pouring out =/
If anyone has done it can they please pm me or add me...
I recently installed a second amp for my 6x9s and since I put it in there has been a terrible whining noise that changes with the revs of the car, that comes from the 6x9s.
It is really bugging me so I was hoping someone might be able to give me some advice!
Thanks

It is mainly my boot lid that vibrates. I have both 6x9s and a sub. It is the sub that does it. About how much am I looking at for dynamatting the bootlid?
My boot absolutely rattles to hell. It seems that this is the main problem on the car. The doors etc all dont vibrate too much.
I was wondering how I can go about dynamatting the boot. An estimate of costs and if there are any shortcuts etc.
Thanks in advance:

I asked Bass Junkies about which amp would best fit with my 12W3V2 for up to £150, they said that I would be best off getting a Stealth 2.5 which was surprising because it was only £99 I assumed they would just choose the most expensive one in my price range.
Well, I was wondering if anyone...
I have a JL 12W3V2 and it was well worth the money. JL ARE the best you can buy, if you can buy a JL over something else, buy it. All the experts say it is the best no questions asked.
