£12500 sounds an average price for a brand new 172, you dont get cheaper than £11995, and even then they are usually imports.

I think you should be looking lower than £12300! you can get them brand spanking new for £10995.

I wonder if there are actually any fools (FOOLS i say!) who purchase quotes at that stupid price!

try a bank loan (might be difficult with you being a student), but Halifax are flexible. Try them.

£12500??? Whats the year? mileage? You can get them cheaper. I only paid £10500 for mine, 02, 15k with full sat nav. If you go through a reanult dealer they stick a grand on for good measure!! Nice fat commission for some sleazey sales rep.

In comparison, i was offered £6500 for my 1.2 extreme 02 plate, had done 8k. I think you can get better than that, hold out for at least £6500.

I want one for mainly increase in performance, dont they give 10+Bhp? Plus they also look the dogs danglies in the engine bay. What exactly are throttle bodies? Is this the right name? Ive read that these increase power a hell of a lot more than IKs. Are these costly? How much power gain...

Im looking to get a Viper IK fitted to my 172, im new to all this so just learning about ECU/remaping etc. What i want to know is... 1. If the viper was fitted would the ECU need re-mapped immediately? 2. Where do i go for the re-mapping? Any help would be great! Hannah
