Just remember that some insurers just dont want business for young people with fast cars so they just quote a high price.

I work in Insurance and got told we were once approached by somebody famous to insure the MV Augusta for him, he didnt care how much it cost (cos he was minted), just wanted insurance- no one would touch him, hadnt even passed test yet.
Turned out we wouldnt do it as someones whos got more money than sense hes obviously a liability!!!

but surely insurance is just a numbers game? I dont know how much an MV AGusta costs but if moneys no object then surely you just charge ten times the value of the vehicle as a years insurance? You cant go wrong! Even if they crash it every month its on the road you can just keep buying new ones out of the insurance premium.

Just about the get my insurance renewed through tesco online, no one at all was able to beat there price apart from adrian flux, who wanted 38.4% apr on a direct debit.. me thinks u can f**k off with that!!
nick, its when you crash the mv into a bus queue and break every one of their backs that you get the insurers into trouble

Insurance is silly sometimes. i had an import pulsar that i was paying £1000 on, and i got a quote for a 306gti-6 - £8500
Money no object though - surely you can just lodge a large amount of cash with Lloyds and become your own insurance company?

I bought my MkII172 3 months ago and had been paying £1K for my VTR. Phoned my insurance company for the quote as they had been cheap on the VTR and in the womans own words said:

I mentioned in a few choice words that the car was being bought for £13K so how the f**k could they charge this??
The very nice lady told me they would be able to knock their commission off and get it down to an even £15K.
