I wasn't saying buy a dell, i got it for free so i didn't really have much choice. However for what it's worth, it's actually fantastic for everything i do with it, and thats pretty much fps#s strategy, hdcontent and even gets used for ps3 at times. Sure there are btter ones out there...
i have a dell 24" and it's amazing, i'd go for that over the 27 personally because it's gonna be for gaming and ultimately, for me anyway, my viewing distance is less because i'm right next to it...i.e. monitor > keyboard > me. Not to mention as you said, stretching the same resoltuion over a...
explain to me how then how to get that amount of storage (....incorporating redundancy, speed, ethernet options, hot swappability and no need to keep the same size drive for each slot into one nice tidy box), with hard drives in seperate caddies?
my post was thoughts and experience with the...
i think you've clearly, and VASTLY misunderstood the point of having this device. i'll stick 1.5 in, fine i don't get 1.5 but i don't care because i can upgrade it when i need it...understand??
what r u boys on about, the whole point for me is having adjustable storage as i need. i've got 2.7 atm which is rammed, need more, 1.5 will do me till i expand again, thats the point for me as i don't want any more hdd's in my pc, my psu won't copewith it as i'm getting a new g card soon...
thinking about it for use at home, hd movies take up a lot of space and it's nicely expandable up to 4tb hard drives in each block (which don't even exist yet!)
only uses 10% of storage for up to two drives to fall over, totally interchangeable sotrage, no need to match sizes etc. Just trying to firgure out if it's worth it, thought no one was using them. you know a few people who are then?
Thinking about getting one of these... sound amazing. Anyone had experience or have thoughts on it?

the more ram you give vista the more it will allocate to the use of past and current programs. Stick 512mb ram in it and it'll still work, doesn't need over a gig. If you put 8 gig in it, it'll look as if 4gig is being used but it's not. Vista is totally under rated imho
i'm with virgin and have the 10mbservice. i leave newsleecher running 24 hours a day and couldn't careless if iget capped in the middle of the day, i accumulate so much stuff anyway that i don't really notice
trouble there is they're more designed for stero input rather than 5.1...i'm buygint them mostly for movie and gaming... hence looking at megalons etc.
Just recieved my trittons via the post. They're s**t. Awful tinny sound in movies...especially noticeable when people are talking (seriously!). Worked in games pretty well, 5.1 was quite noticeable in left 4 dead etc - until i moved it from my pc over to the ps3 and tried a few games....most...
