i think sports cats are the way forward as i hated my decat especially through the winter as it was smokey and it smells lol

rear dampers dont neccasirly knock and bang when they start to fail
mine is currnetly like driving on ice due to a leaking rear damper on the passenger side an makes no noise
whip wheels off and check only takes 5 mins
im just saving for coilovers for now :D
thats the ignitor you checked this doesnt cause a flickering light
you have to remove the bumper to get to it but its 20 min job an you will have to do it as it will cost a fortune getting a garage to fix it.hunt for a cheap ballast if i was you then go from there

take off the rear wheels and if the shock looks clean because its got fluid running down them there screwed.gives you the jumpy back end too and awful handling when left for a while
