The fact to consider is that the 1.4 is still sh*t slow, but costs more to run, less tuning parts and the insurance group jumps a few places higher. I wouldnt even get a 1.6, i agree with CAR magazine, only ones that make sense are the 1.216v and Sport models.

I think thats one of them ideas where it looks good in your head but doesnt quite come off in the flesh. He has no ABS so should be just steering, which would mean all most all of the cars weight is on the right side..and is making it lower that it would look normally. No reason why it might not...
Thats not too bad, the front could be made to look aggressive quite easily, remember its not the Renaultsport model after all! Looks quite sleek from the side i think. It may be worth deleting that picture for copyright reasons..

The cup doesnt need to be lowered..roll doesnt equal bad handling..id love to try out a cup with the eibach kit and a standard one to see the diff..but i cant see anyone volunteering to lend me their cups! The lower you go the more geometery nightmares youll have. Id phone k-tec asking for some...
The NCAP is superficial..but thats not their fault, manufacturers and governments should be far more active. The fact is the lack of marketing on the subject means know one knows..and then know one cares. Its quite sad that safety is at the bottom of most peoples priorities.

I think the worst example ive seen was seeing a photo of a mk1 golf going into a mk4 golf, the mk1 ended up looking like coke can. Safety is important to me which is why im put off by 106 gtis and the like despite how good they are. On the face of it they look great value but really you can see...
The popping is a result of the air/fuel mixture becoming very lean when the throttle is closed and the engine is rotating well above idle speed. A backbox wont make any difference, youre de-cat is creating the noise, youll need a proper exhaust (i.e free flowing) to get the pops and crackles.

Agree with Bryan, to be fair everyone slates halfords but theyre not too bad, have most gear you need and have a price match thing on parts (even against trade)

Painting a wheel in a manufacturers colour is possible. It may be worth phoning up a wheel maker such as OZ and ask them what to do if you needed to refurb theyre gunmetal ones..as in what colour do they use. A refurber will charge about £30 per wheel varying on how big it is obviously, and...
If youre into cars reliability should be well down the list of priorities, if it looks good and goes well then who cares! You have 3 years warranty..
Perfection is boring!

Yes by having equal length half shafts between the transaxle and wheels will mean less torque steer.
Found this:
"DUDE..... It is mostly tangential thrust from the torque of the motor when hard accelerating !! What motor are you running? Is it a hot race motor? I had the same problem on my...
Is your car kitted? It might be that the brakes have no cooling normally and so the water helps. If youve ever watched truck racing youll notice the brakes are water cooled.

Unlucky Nick, i guess thats spoiled your collection of 5 different tyre manufacturers on your car? ;)
Always wondered why manufacturers put them underneath, amazes me how people have the cheek to crawl under the car and nick them..
