Yeah I see what you mean, to be honest I thought it must be a mare or else everyone would have done it :dapprove:
You not considered the Lockwood ones with an RS Sticker made to cover the branding? That's the way I'd go to be honest.
Did he short the leads out?
Did he connect them to the 306 or not get that far?
Personally I would never try and jump start a diesel car from a petrol car as diesels have far higher cranking current.
If he connected the leads he's probably fried the Meggy's battery.
Both calipers that I've bought secondhand have come complete with the carrier and bolts so I'm pretty sure yours will.
I would imagine they're pretty standard yeah, if you need sizes etc drop me a PM :)
The bolts through the carrier you mean.
I have two carriers spare, complete with bolts if you need them. Unfortunately I'm miles away in Lancashire (unless you're working up here?).
Hey,
Yeah crazy thing is I saw what had happened on the M60 as I arrived at the Trafford centre but stupidly thought it would have cleared some 6 hours later :dapprove:
Basically a low-loader had lost part of the machinery it was carrying onto the carriageway blocking two lanes.
Like I...
Re: Diesel in a 182
They wont don't worry Steve ;)
Like I've said any parts that need replacing I will be doing myself, I've just got to bite the bullet and get a diag first :dapprove:
Would be over the moon if it was a simple case of the precat sensor! :approve:
Will keep you updated.
Camber is on the front struts, but you'll need camber bolts if you're planning on adjusting it.
Are you on standard suspension?
Camber at the rear is by using shims - very expensive.
Re: Diesel in a 182
Cheers, makes me feel better but after driving her last night I just want it sorting now to be honest.
Thanks, but I use and trust my local Renault dealer and I aint no mug so they wont be ripping me off for any parts. All I want is a diag so I know what I'm facing...
Re: Diesel in a 182
Yeah it sounds good, lol but has no power. Sometimes it will idle fine and accelerate ok and other times it wont idle, just cuts out when I take my foot off the pedal. No power to pull away and kangarooing through 1st and 2nd. Once it's into third though it's generally...
Re: Diesel in a 182
Thanks Kenny.
To be honest the garage is secondary at present, my main concern is getting the car running right. Tempted to take it to Renault this weekend for a diag. It'll cost me £80 but least I'll have a better idea as to what, if anything, needs replacing.
They are around the £200 mark from Renault unpainted. You'll need the brake light too which is another £40 or so.
Second hand anywhere from £140 to £200 dependant on colour/condition.
Re: Diesel in a 182
Had the car in bits tonight just to check everything over for my own peace of mind really.
Took inlet off, checked coil pack. Checked each and every HT lead - they are all showing roughly the same resistance.
Removed each spark plug and checked - again all showing roughly...
