after a few threads i finally bit the bullet and bought a Karcher K2.54M with the T50 but im just wanting to know are there any other bits i need to get to make the most out of it ?

driver support isnt amazing on anything other than the latest mainstream components. the drivers that come with it arnt designed for performance just to get you up and running the xp compatibility i have found to be a bit of a joke as its never done anything when i have tried it but i expect...

the drive is 100% fooked then on bootup it should say something like press control s or something to enter dell raid controler

tbh id buy a new drive rather than delete the array then need to buy a new drive when that doesnt work if you go and have a look at the raid controller bios it should list more detailed SMART errors

forgot to add with foobar use either wasapi ( with vista/windows7) or asio (for xp) this will give you bit perfect output

so far nothing great has been mentioned and as for real player its laughable video Player Kmplayer with core avc and ffdshow audio foobar / winamp

high cpu usage weird artefacts etc its a great one shot plays all solution but really you should sort each codec with the best solution available

in that case dont buy a ion ;) running something like cccp can cause issues if not configured properly if you now install cccp again but go into the config and tell it not to decode h264 you will be ok

mkv is just a container i need to know the codecs used download this run it and open the mkv file in it and it will tell you the codecs it uses post a screen shot if you can http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en/Download

no sound is because you have no audio codecs on ;) what are you trying to play back ? (remember i dont have a ion system yet :( )

thats just one i found on the net now play a vid and tray icon should go green to say its working :)
