Has anyone bothered to sit down and set one of these up really well. Re seated the headunit tonight as it was rattling and decided to get the manual out! There are so many settings that its mind bogling!
If anyone has fancy posting what settings you have used. I only have uprated 3 way...
Ive got Pioneer TS-E1395 3 ways all the way round along with a Pioneer head unit and 12 disc cd changer and it sounds so much better than standard. Now all I need is an amp and a sub to handle the low frequencies!
In yours dreams J! Give me £1000 and the wheels and springs are all yours!
K - Scooby idea out the window! Couldnt justify it to myself and besides the Mazda RX-8 looks like it could be my next car in 2004/5.
...I had to post this! Just had a phone call from R-Tec and my wheels are in so Im off to get it lowered and put on next Thursday morning at 9am, so anyone going to France will get to see it. No doubt pics will follow that Thursday night!
Well the one I tested fitted on OK! I spoke to Autopart, the UK importer of ACE alloys, and my wheels are in the country and will be sent to R-Tec this week. Hopefully can get them fitted next week for France, cutting it fine though!
If you look on the gallery there is a MK2 172 with 18" on...
They must have stopped it then and I stand corrected....well I cant always be right
Can you give me the part number for the Executive mats for the Clio as I have just bought some and guess what...theyre for a left hand drive Clio, what use is that in the UK?
It is in the latest accessories brochure published June 2001. Go to page 5 and look down the right, I quote:
Rear Spoiler
with additional brake light
77 01 410 747
Also avaliable as double spoiler with additional brake light
77 11 210 645
So the dealer is lying! Jass is fine as far...
My Eibachs have been sat on a shelf at R-Tec in St Albans for about a month now but Im still waiting for my wheels so I can have it all done at the same time. Send me some pics when its done to gallery@cliosport.net and Ill put the in the 172 part.
Well I guess I can let the cat out the bag since I know there are very few of my wheels in the country! They are 17" Ace 197s; basically twin 5 spokes a bit like the Civis Type-Rs if you have seen them.
Insurance wise puts it up by about £100 for alloys, springs and induction (when I get it...
Probably the equivalent of between 50mm and 60mm Adtmits. Just rung R-Tec about my alloys and they wont get them until next week at the earliest so fitting wont happen for a few weeks yet
The kit I am getting is the Eibach Pro kit which consists of 4 30mm lowering springs. Also as far as I know it is just a case of fitting different springs and away you go. If you look under the rear of the car you can see the springs. Ill let you know in a few days.
Thats a good price. Im paying about £130 for them including VAT but dont have to worry about delivery as Im getting them fitted at the same time as my 17" alloys. They will be going on around the end of next week, basically as soon as my wheels arrive.
Im paying just under £60 fitting for...
They do have different air boxes mate. I am on the case of getting Evolution to get hold of a BMC panel filter for my MK2; will let you know how much when I know!
GR - Yup Im the Geoff in the gallery and who does all of the gallery website stuff. Im preparing the Rolling Road report at the moment too! I nearly went for Red but I had 2 Red cars before and fancied a change.
GR - Go for 17" with a 30mm drop, no rubbing, handling will be better (less body roll and lower centre of gravity) and will, of course, look the dogs! To quote from your message above - gorgeous metallic blue - yup, thats why I went for it
ICEman - The adapters are made by Pioneer and called, something like, AD-EU800S. They are in the latest Pioneer catalogue under Accessories but your local audio shop should be able to get hold of them,
