It won't let me edit that last post so I'm just going to add.
I got a quote from confused.com for lowering my car less than 50mm is £1053.65.
And lower than that is £1895.01.
60mm is well too low for some of the country runs I'm doing trust me!
Pot holes everywhere and into a ditch if someone is speeding coming down a one way track!
Won't be looking at coilovers/lower springs till project sleeper is in play. ;)
And yes the drums and calipers will be going...
Thanks for that! much appreciated!
I would go lower but it costs more on the insurance plus I would be tempted to upgrade the shocks then which i can't afford.
Plus too many speedbumps on some of the runs i do for -60 round here. :rasp:
I'll just save up for some decent coils after this. :)...
Lookin at getting my springs to fit them after new year.
Could someone please lower this 45mm so i can get an idea?
If the picture is a bit crap, say and I'll get another.
Thanks in advance!
I just bolted on the RS grille to my campus. :)
Didn't bother with the clips.
Simple job off yank the old one off. (with bumper still on) and bolt the new one on (the plastic bolts).
I was getting my tyre changed at Kwikfit after getting a flat. And i asked the guy to check my exhaust as it sounded like it was leaking, he came back and said i have a rip in my manifold, don't know how i managed that as the cae is only a 57 plate, but suggested i take it to renault since its...
Added Silvervisions and a RS grille and given it a clean.
Only thing left to do is lower it :)
(I've also decided at one point the silver badges will be going back on and painting the brakes black, not anytime soon though as i still like it).
This isn't to many people's taste, but it is to mine. :approve:
This is the only recent pic i've got of it clean, plus i've colour coded since. I need to get some more!
(It still needs lowered, RS grille and silvervisions)
I know where you's are coming from, thanks for the tips!
Had a look about and was actually looking at the new clio Dynamique S 138 maybe for a new car in two years or so. :)
This is purely a thought at this point in time, but it crossed my mind while reading some threads.
The standard 1.2 (older stlye) clio can have the 182 lump dumped in it and all the necessities, and from what i read a 182 can fit a 197 engine but without the gear box (I think) fitting.
Does...
Tried my hand at some colour coding over the last couple of days!
So it was a case of sanding, priming, painting and lacquering.
Learned not to use to rough a sandpaper the hard way, done the rear strips perfect using P120 then P600.
Thought if i used a rougher paper on the front ones it...
I'm going to colour code these tomorrow, my clio is pearlescent black.
I have filler to get rid of the texture, or am i better just sanding it?
Only other question is, coz my car is black what colour of primer should i use?
