Hey I'm new on here so to start off I thought i would start one of these as the car goes through its changes

So this is what it was like when i bought it

And now

I have also added a 172 spoiler and painted the brakes recently, currently doing the badges

Also plan on lowering 60mm over the next couple of months.

(Then in a year an engine swap)

I'll get some photos up as soon as!!

not worth the engine swap tbh. Return it to standard in a year then sell up and buy a 172. this swap would cost you nothing where as the swap would cost £2500

yep grille is mega easy - just a few clips - can be had from reno for 42 quid

Managed to adjust the sebring backbox i put on so the tailpipe sits nearly touching the bumper, not got it lowered yet, but i'm getting -45mm eibach's end of this month or next so i don't need new shocks and gonna get some colour coding and the RS grille too.

This is one of the car recently when we were on holiday.
Sorry not got any of the exhaust yet!

Tried my hand at some colour coding over the last couple of days!
So it was a case of sanding, priming, painting and lacquering.

Learned not to use to rough a sandpaper the hard way, done the rear strips perfect using P120 then P600.
Thought if i used a rougher paper on the front ones it would take less time..

Incorrect.

Used P80 first and it just left deep scratches that i couldn't be arsed sanding out, so they'll need redone at some point!

2 days after starting:

I'm chuffed anyway!
Going to do the mirrors at the weekend, and the handles another time as i need to take off and reseal the inside of the door to get them off which i don't have time for.

(And yes that last photo made me realise how badly lowered it needs! lol)

Added Silvervisions and a RS grille and given it a clean.

Only thing left to do is lower it
(I've also decided at one point the silver badges will be going back on and painting the brakes black, not anytime soon though as i still like it).

Em, used to do it alot with my toy soldiers so kind of used to it.
Not affected my brain yet anyway. :rasp:
