I never use my address, some companies do a credit search on you whilst you're getting quotes (elephant/admiral are the worst) this can give you a crap credit rating.
Make sure you run them in parallel, when the new one is working perfectly turn the old one off, always have a fall back plan to the old system, as you know MS is a law unto itself and can throw wobblers over the smallest thing.
