Just the lining inside goes hard where it dries, then once it meets water again it instantly free's up. The lambswool itself is still soft like the day it was new.
A lot of it is down to they tyres as well. If they are slicks they yes they probably will lock up if you slam on, but ive always had decent tyres and tread and ABS has never kicked in, bar on the snow and ice.
I've got the sonus one, and that usually dries 'hard' if you get me. Always try and rinse as much water out as possible and leave to dry outside on the washing line.
