I'm currently trying to get a quote for my non-sport 1.2 16v, with mods. Im having massive trouble with insurers as they are saying the coilovers are too low, or because it has coilovers they will not insure. it.
Basically best ive had is £1388 fully comp via adrian flux.
However I can get...
Ok that's great. The z6 looks good as a 16oz bottle can do a car 20-30times apparently, but does cost the same as a 32oz bottle of 425. I couldn't warrant buy a gallon of the stuff either.
Thought as much, just wanted to clarify. From the first coat of 1000p water does just glide off ready for drying with a microfibre.
Have you used both 425 and Z6? Whats the 'finish' like in comparison? I presume from you comment that 425 is better as just a drying aid? Where as Z6 give a better...
Some different opinions here. Like gally pointed out red mist is a top up, and thats basically what I wanted. Something to restore the gloss and add just a quick layer of protection.
If you mean any kind of wheel cleaner, yeah you can. You best of using one that's no or only slightly acidic. With 2/3 layers of a good sealant you'll be able to use just soapy water to get brake dust off.
This. Front will sit pretty low anyway due to the sills being lower at the front + with the subframe. You can always get custom rear springs so no biggy there.
Possibly have a look into this > http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?562569-VMaxx-Coilovers-group-buy-(round-2..)
What setup did you get done? Camber adjustments? If so how are they aligned, think my drivers front is out of alignment and wearing badly on the inside.
EGP wont be able to withstand the heat. You'd be better to get the Poorboys or the 476s. I personally am using FK1000p Which is a much larger tin than both of the previous for just a tad more. Use it on the body work as well. Cracking stuff.
Even that doesn't crack it. I've got 2 maybe 3 coats of FK1000p High Temperature wheel sealant on mine, and after snow foaming and then blasting them with the pressure washer they were still filthy. I've got a wheel mitt, and numerous wheel brushes to get them properly clean. I'd invest in...
Non-sports are always welcome. Nobody's gonna turn around and say go home, Everybody started out with something 'basic' at one point. If you like it who cares?
Didn't expect that, so thanks very much!
I'm actually starting to hate them a bit, They are a b**ch to keep looking nice. I think I can safely say, I've reassured myself it is capsicum by checking the colour code. Haha
Cheers, still not seen you either. TBH, I dont get out in it that much...
