Same here, i went and bought fastcar at lunch and they have a rim in their new section, gorgeous, polished outer rim with a graphite or hyper black middle, just what i wanted if i had a silver 172!
Even the 19s are 10kg!
I had one of the punks start on me when i was in my dads car yesterday. Normally none are up for fun. I agree with KDF that on normal urban roads youll need a big difference in spec to see a clear winner.
Exactly, he was making statements, not opinions. He said the mk2 are slower and that they look worse than mk1s, as if he knows, how can he when it can only be opinion based?!
Sorry to hear that mate. Personally speaking im not one who must have the brightest, shinyest car going so id touch it up and get it resprayed when you get rid of it, or have money to burn. It will cost a couple of hundred.
If you put them side by side they look different, and if they do look similar, who cares? That doesnt mean theyre bad looking...
The point is youre generalising your own opinion, dont be narrow minded for god sake, no wonder Renault Uk is in such a state when people like you worked for them...
Doesnt it just make the wheels look huge!
You shouldnt of lowered it that far into you found them! Are k-tecs coilovers ready yet as you could just get them.
I agree with that in some respects but styling wise its down to the individual. I personally prefer mk2s but people shouldnt be claiming that their view is the only view! Shortys just been making an idiot of himself.
Well if its purely cosmetic and u dont really care about wearing the standards out then keep them if you wanna be a cheap pikey like Tom but id change them!
Can you make it a quicktime format as well?
I like those kinda videos..i have a good un going back from southend where my mate videod how well a Fusion Alien handled the speed of the Clio whilst tied to the aerial, lol.
Anyone can be good a 1/4 miling though, you just need practice and a good car. Though i appreciate the thrill factor of beating someone like that, its like a modern day duel.
With track driving you need to learn car control which takes years and years, plus determination and courage. Again...
There are a few members who have lowered theres on 17 inch wheels with --40mm and -60mm springs so youll have no problem going that far on standard wheels. Im sure theyll post their pictures when they see this thread!
Well he has lowered it too which gives the impression that theyre bigger.
I agree there is no need to lower the Cup but people are starting to become critical of other members, there is no need. If you are going to be doing some trackwork i would recommend fitting coilovers and bigger brakes...
