no pics but I wouldn't rip it out, just disconnect the CAF coming from the valve that enters the airbox at the front. That way it can easily be reinstated.

Yes they should be available from Renault, no idea on price though! They are removed from the steering wheel by first removing the airbag. The badge then simply clips-off.

It can be joined easily enough. Besides I thought in 2 pieces it would be easier to transport/store and easier to put back on the car :)

not sure but I think the pivot is to allow for neck support should you be hit from behind. They should be adjusted to suit before starting your journey :)

Should be relatively straight forward. I fitted mine to my 182 in an hour or so. Most of that was getting the old one off though! :evil: As yours is the 172 it shouldn't be so difficult. 1 clamp to remove where it meets the CAT (13mm spanner iirc) then it should just unhook from the 2 mounts...

they all have a lock on the side :) It's a 172 because that's what it is, not because of any locks ;)

eBay is REALLY starting to pee me off now!! :mad: I bought an item from a company called GBKperformance on the 25th of May this year. I paid straight away via PayPal and all was good. I waited for the goods to arrive and nothing appeared so I emailled them. They said it had been sent but...

They are readily available from other sources for £350 now though.

I doubt it as they're all separate part numbers iirc. From memory it's close to £600 (or maybe £800) for the brand new complete setup from Renault. Just a xenon headlight shell is circa £150 each!
