lol the understeer comment i made a while ago was more to with Formula First/Renault/Ford. All of these single seaters spin if you make the slightest of mistakes, which is why i chose understeer settings, but this is on the limit, so generally its un noticeable. Id rather back off than fish...
Hmm. I have to disagree there. At brands i have done a 58 seconds lap in the cup, i havent timed myself in an elise round there but a friends modified morgan can get there in 54 seconds so i would expect the elise to do it in 50 seconds.
Think about it, the elise is mid engined, RWD light and...
lol, only a few insurance companies offered me a quote, directline being the best at £2700.
And mine is just the 1.2 16v
As stephen MC said though, you only live once, i hope to have a cup on the drive next year!
Depends where you were driving, the quality of the driver (and maybe how much trust they have in their car or own skills).
I cant say ive had any noticeable scalps on the road, had a lot of fun on track though.
I was pretty sure the GTI-6 had 167bhp..
Its been higlighted on the forum that power outputs seem to be all over the place, maybe redline tested a dud or something?

Theyve always been that price?
There are some UK cars and some EU cars, best thing to do is ask. Or ask your local dealer how they feel about servicing/warranty on an import. As far as i know the EU cars have 1 less silencer and mechanically thats it.

Ill put it down to the car then. Brakes felt like you had to put your foot through to the floor. I actually found the handling a bit to be desired as well, it was too snappy for my liking. Or am i complete pussy?
Dont answer that!
Well if you sold your RT how much would you get?
Id say its worth looking in the back of car mags like Autocar, they are plenty of car supermarkets who sell brand new 172s for the same as the Cup, £11995.

Ive never really had a problem, the only time was when i lucky met the nicest officer ever! I was only 16 and drove a non-road legal mk1 golf to brands, with no plates! Luckily i was let off as i was only half a mile from the track, and promised the car was getting towed back!
Other than that...
Its still a plug and play thing. The point i meant was that its not much of an achievement and dont see the point in getting it unless your doing the Fast and the Furious style street racing for £££££££££s
