Welcome!
There are a few people going, see the meetings board.
http://www.k-tecracing.comwww.k-tecracing.com do some good mods for the lesser mk2 clios.
Cheers,
Rob
Being quite fussy i want my front numberplate to fit into the actual plate recess rather than overlapping, anyone know of a good company who can do smaller plates?
Think i wont be using them then!
Id expect your yellow pages will show some mobile repairers, the problem seems to finding who does a good job.
Can you get guarantees?
lol i was that confusing person, i was talking about the Haldex diff, which basically transfers power or torque which it cant handle to the back. This means its essentially FWD a lot of the time.
50kg is like having a 13 year old in the car, i guess maybe a lot of people might not notice, but...
Some bodyshops do, but usually theyll send the wheel to another company for you.
I think ill get mine done by a mobile one as i dont really want to be using the steelie
Let me know how good the konis are!
How much difference does suspension mods make to the car? I was thinking of doing the suspension but leaving the wheels for another year.
Its not about how fast it is round the track, its how much enjoyment you get, otherwise whats the point? I see capris and even smart cars on track days!
You seem to be just a speed freak Jon, and are missing out on 70% of the enjoyment in driving. The fact that S3 owners need to up the boost...
Your suspension may need some time to settle in, and then the back will get lower (remember theres less weight at the back).
The second question is easy, the eibach springs are better quality than the factory springs, i take it their just a fast road spring kit?
Not sure about the last one..
No, but as you say its recomended, you will only get your full 172bhp with Optimax or an equivalent 98ron.
In my clio optimax is better, i was getting better MPG when i trialed both fuels over a week. Ive also taken the car on the same stretch of road and reached a 4mph better top speed with...
5 door could be a problem, go to a more distinguished bodyshop which specialises in modified cars. The thing i hate about the UK modified scene is cars with poor fitting kits, unequal shutlines etc, you dont get that anywhere else, so get it done properly!
You seem to of contradicted yourself there, as you seem to of based a decision that an S3 is overall a better car because its faster in a straightline. Read the reviews, theres no secret to why audi dont sell a load of these cars. Theyre expensive, not as much space as a golf, chassis isnt...
Theyre handling tests are complete poo! As if one of them is better than an elise, caterham etc. ha ha! Its too heavy, at the end of the day you cant disguise the weight, its 1754kg. A new M3 weighs a whole 250kg less than that and id even say thats too heavy at 1450kg.
As for the MG i wait to...
You can get a silencer..
As talked about in about a million other thread the ecotek causes long term f**kity uppyness, id do a search on this forum, read, then take it off!
Well im 70kg-ish plus the 1450kg of my clio so:
70 + 1450 = 1520kg = 50bhp/ton
191 + 1490 = 1681kg = 107bhp/ton
Damn!
though i worked that out in my head so im probably way off anyway!
The production spec MG hasnt been tested yet so its not worth taking notice of any write ups. I read and watched tests on the qvalve mangusta, it got panned, the ford engine is a typical american V8, i dont like them, theyre not race car engines. The same gearbox was used in my dads old aston...
