weight - you should get some coilovers, which obviously incorporate dampers. Its worth saving up for the best you can find. Youre right lowering on springs without changing dampers will knacker them out but if you dont want coilovers (more expensive and not the best ride) spax do pretty good...

All i can say is shop around, premiums vary a stupid amount though to be honest your quote seems quite fair. Ask them how much security options will affect your premium. The fact is though is your 20 and have a fast car, theres no getting around that, insurance companies dont want you!

You must of being going very fast to provoke oversteer! Oversteer is good because you can save yourself, with understeer you just have to hope you dont go too wide and hit a kerb or something. But unless you know what to do it is very scary and so why road cars tend to be set up to understeer...
