get one of these
just make sure you connect it up right
what i don't get is how you have a severed earth and think you can get away with only connecting the phase and neutral?
what subs are they are you need to get alot of things right.
as the voice coil resistance will alter things alot.
max RMS input power each sub can handle (as i doubt 1600w is RMS)
i wouldn't say the alt to batt needs upgrading as it is only rated for about 100 amps which would go down 6 awg with no probs which i think it isn't far from that
yeah the reason being is that you can't protect the components with a fuse as they are too slow
plus if the component pulls enough current to operate the fuse its already had it and needs replacing
for a start PFC stands for power factor correction which only help out electricity companys
also 5900rpm isnt made up it's picked because of trade off between power useage and data throughput (nearer 7200 throughput with near 5400 power useage)
mine was connected at gigabit speeds but wouldn't even worry 100Mbit
ended up taking it apart to use the drive in a nas pc and got best part of 50Mb/s writing to the drive so it was just the nas enclosure slowing it down
