If you can get to any of the bolt thread. Might be able to weld a nut onto it. Should be able to undo it then?
And if it was that tight to do up, then I would check the thread in the axle is ok. Try and clean the thread and lubricate.
To be fair, I think I took the first wrong turn, then it went mental!haha
That's exactly what I thought, the car in the lane to our left hit the brakes to not get taken out! Was a close one
Tried bleeding it to make sure your getting brake fluid out and no air?
The fact the handbrake works would possibly suggest it's fluid related, as the piston isn't stuck.
As the others have said, good turn out and very social meet! Nice to meet everyone and put a few faces to names.
Close call with Dave Dred's though.hah
(Oh, and oops for the detour on the way home Dave! Did you see the golf hammer through the red light after I jumped back in the car?)
Generally overfueling is black smoke, burning oil is blue and white smoke is water. Have you pulled a spark plug out to see the colour of it since replacing them?
Well there sat next to me on my desk here looking good!haha. Need to mock them up, draw up the mounts and get in the machine shop. So going slower than I hoped, just haven't had a chance really.
Donny sign me up as a definite.
No chance of me being asked to work now Saturday. (and even if they did, they didn't give enough notice. So they can jog on)
As it stands, its all looking good! In Oxford for Friday evening, but not staying there the night, and very very unlikely I will be asked to go down to Bucks to work the sat or sun now. So looks like I'm a thumbs up too!
As Johnny said, wheel bearing? Is it louder if your going round a corner?
When my rear wheel bearings went at first I thought it was the front by the sound. Jack the rear up and spin the wheel, you will soon hear if its the wheel bearing. There won't necessarily be any play though.
I suppose worse case, the disc retaining screw is in 1 of 4 places. Worse case, the spacer is ali, so wouldn't take much to drill, you end up drilling a hole through the spacer and drill the head off the disc retaining screw to remove both together.
EDIT: Having said that, there is already the...
Just had a dig around. From what I have found you need a 12mm allen key to undo them. Which if my technical head is screwed on means that they use an M14 allen key/ cap head bolt?
