What mark/model you got? Was a while ago I did it, but when I had a multimeter on the wires, I think it was just a + and 2 earths. So I tapped into an earth and a positive and ran two wires. Will check tomorrow if you like?

Spotted you this evening about 7.40 going past Ricoh stadium. Was a 172, might have been Monaco blue. Reg was M5 ###. With a big space between the M5 part of the reg and the last 3 letters. James

Wired up an extra boot light in mine a while ago. Easy to do, just bought exactly the same as the original boot light and cut a whole mirroring the light on the other side. Hide the wires, bish bash bosh! Done!haha

Had this on my old clio and ended up using a coat hanger. Bent the very end, say 5mm, 180 degree's, so its facing up. then push it down the side of what is stuck down there and then pull it up. The hanger should hook in and pull the offending item up. good luck with it, you will get it eventually.

Is it definitely a fan connection? I could be very wrong, but there is a very similar looking plug which normally goes to the acoustic valve? Don't know if ph1 had this though?

As Scrooge said, A new Renault one is in the region of £120ish, whereas the skoda one can be fitted without a lot of effort and that costs about £12 new. There is a topic on here about it somewhere.

Normally when it cranks for a few seconds and stops it is the immobiliser

As Giraffe says only really causes can be either your foot was on the clutch or it wasn't actually in gear. Guessing it drives fine?

At buy it now of £250, thats surely a bargain?
