I did mine at the weekend, you need a T50 Torx and I used a flathead screwdriver to prize the clips on the back of steering wheel for the airbag.

With regards to the steering wheel, I've just put a 300mm OMP on my 182, it's the best thing I've done!

Maybe I'm missing the point, but why not just buy a 1*2?

Where can I get some of these covers for the top mounts?

Mine was fine apart from the airbag, took ages to get the clips undone! The rest seemed pretty straight forward :)

I'm going to be changing this tomorrow or Sunday, got my Oreca boss and resistor's today from K-Tec. Just reading up, the plastic surround seems to just pull of from around the stalks and is plug and play with the Ph1 stalk. I see people saying about not knocking the 'squib' out of position...

Had it's MOT at K-Tec, passed with no advisories. Also picked up my Oreca boss at the same time, so I can now fit my OMP steering wheel :)

No same, keep looking for 2nd ones but they are very rare.

Mine are blanked off from the washer bottle I believe (K-Tec carried out the work), so I have still got the washers on the bumper, even though they don't do anything. They do seem to pop on here from time to time, but go quickly. I think Streamline do some carbon ones, they're nice - but pricey.

I've got exactly the same spec car as you and have got my washers blanked off. Checked with K-Tec before it was done and they said It wont fail an MOT, and it never has :)

I'd disagree with that, If you are sensible and don't go everywhere at silly speeds it isn't an issue. I've had 2ltr cars ever since I was 17 (22 now) and never crashed yet. Same with a few of my mates. I think if you are spending that much om insurance, you'll less likely to drive like a tool...

If he works for it then I can't see how it is waste. I'd rather pay £1800 for a Cup at 18 than probably £1300 on some 1.0l s***box.

I've got the S2 and my girlfreind has got the S3, yes it is better, but not worth the extra 10-15 a month.

Isn't that the stuff that is going cheap in Tesco at the moment? Think I saw a thread on here this morning about that stuff, very similar to Iron X from what I read? Might have to walk over to Tesco in the morning ;)

If it's just your daily I wouldn't be spending that much on parts personally, unless you do a decent amount of miles a day and have decent roads during your journey's. If it's just round town on a daily basis, I wouldn't bother personally.

What would you recommend gally?
