Ok mate, cheers :)
Ok cheers, I will have a search for your thread! I've never been into 'detailing' as such, but always cleaned all my cars weekly. Starting to get a bug for it a little now, so over the coming months I'll be investing in better products :)
Yep, doesn't matter though, keeps me busy for a few hours lol. I see there is a paste version of Iron X? Would you use the normal stuff to start with, then the more difficult patches with the paste?
Was planning on removing my front wheels today and cleaning the inside of them and seal with Poorboys, but I then came across an problem. I don't think they've ever been cleaned in the 58,000 miles the car has done. They were seriously awful, nothing I've got would touch the dirt that's on...
Re: Finding the RIGHT Clio Sport to buy..
There always seems to be a few for sale in the 'For Sale' section on here. The good thing is you can more than likely track back to see how they have been looked after. I wouldn't too much on the mileage if buying off here as a majourity of the cars...
Ah ok cheers. I'm getting the Oreca boss for K-Tec next week hopefully. It comes with 2 sensors, I take it one for the airbag and the other for the cruise control? These just plug straight in I take it?
Think I have found a thread with the info now. It looks like 2 wires (red and black) take them off the old unit and put on the new one? Then the horn should work straight away through the stalk?
Can somebody just confirm this please?
Liam :)
I'm not brilliant with mechanics or electrics, so bare with me. I have just bought a lovely OMP steering wheel of Adam172 on here and am going to fit it too my 2004 182. After searching and looking through guides, I see the horn button can be an issue, so I'm going to change to a PH1 stalk with...
I got it for something like £33, but I could of got it quite abit cheaper - but I had just snapped the pins of in the boot (Clio Badge) and wasn't prepared to drive round with holes in the boot. K-Tec is only about 15mins away from me which is handy :)
It looks so much better than the original...
Always quite liked the look of these (in a minority lol), but the wheels aren't great and the orange detailing on the interior is horrid! Otherwise quite like it :)
I got mine from K-Tec Racing a couple of weeks back, was cheaper than Renault. I'm not sure if it is on the Clio 200, I thought it was just on the Megane 250/265, could be wrong though.
Love it, really nice. Wouldn't know it was that high mileage! What induction kit has it got and what's the shield like parts round it? Does that come with it?
Completely agree. I've always had reasonably nice cars, but my family is far from well off. I've worked for it all, as have alot of other younger people.
I want to tidy my engine bay up a bit, looking quite sorry for itself!
1. What type of paint will I need for the engine cover
2. If it's any different to '1', what type of paint for the inlets (think that is the bit with the RenaultSport written on lol?)
3. Where can I then get a replacement...
Cleaned it seeing I have a couple of days off work, thought I'd removing the Clio badge and clear all the crap from behind it and ended up snapping one of the pins off in the process. So in the end I did a complete rear end de-badge and made a trip to K-Tec to get the new style Renaultsport...
I'd be interested in doing 1 or 2 15min sessions. Will I need to bring my own helmet or can will you be able to rent them on the day? Never been on track before, so should be a relaxed environment for my first go :)
I never did any research on the Clio's before I got my 182 and got a Titanium Silver one. Wish I had looked around either got a RB or Trophy. My past 3 cars now have been silver!
I test drove both (197 and a 182), both non-cup packed and prefered the drive and the feel the 182 gave me over the 197. Looking back now though, I wish I had gone for a 197 as it was a nicer place to sit and looks more modern. All depends on what you are looking for.
