Alot!
Went to K-Tec to have my rear Discs and Pads fitted, ended up having a new Water Pump, Coolant Flush, Aux Belt & Pulley as well! Got to back in a few weeks to have a few more, little bits sorted.
Went to K-Tec to have my brakes done today, and ended up getting the water pump done at the same time as it was making the car sound awful!
Had a new Aux Belt and Pulley at the same time but I have been told the sound is coming from where the Cat meets the Manifold, so going back again soon to...
Are the Koni Rear Dampers a improvement over the standard items? I've gone through 2 rear dampers so far in my ownership, but got a feeling one of them is weeping again.
Looking at these...
Hopefully they will be able to just get the Mintex Discs fitted tomorrow at K-Tec, as I'd rather not have to spend out more money than I have too. I'm pretty sure that it is just the fact this garage didn't know what they were doing, must have done something wrong I think.
I'm sure that the...
I would just replace any worn parts to tighten the car back up, maybe with uprated parts as you go. I really wouldn't bother with engine mods.
Whiteline ARB is something I would suggest handling wise.
An update on this..
The garage didn't actually order OEM discs, they ordered Pagid and they didn't fit either! So either they are ordering the wrong discs or are complete morons lol. Either way I told them to put the car back together with the old parts and it is booked into K-Tec tomorrow...
Yeah, I thought it was probably just a incorrect model listing.
I've got OEM discs going on the car this afternoon, should of done that anyway really. Just got to get my money back on the discs, as we're using the Mintex pads as there is nothing wrong with them apparently.
I bought some Mintex Rear Discs and Pads from eBay last week as one of my rear wheel bearings has gone. Booked in at a garage a couple of roads away from where I work today and they phoned me this morning to say they don't fit! The width of the disc is to big, so they can't put it all back...
I got an Oreca boss from K-Tec, think it's a universal fit really. Think it was around £50 from what I can remember.
Quite an easy job to do changing the wheel, looks more difficult than it actually is :)
Just to update this, I think I've finally sorted the annoying squealing sound that I had when I put my foot down. Took the induction pipe off and cleaned everything up and put new jubilee clips on and tightened everything back up. All I can seem to hear now is the engine and induction kit :)...
Think I've finally sorted the annoying squealing sound that I had when I put my foot down. Took the induction pipe off and cleaned everything up and put new jubilee clips on. All I can seem to hear now is the engine and induction kit :) May order a Samco Induction bend as the standard one was...
Lovely car! I really like the wheels personally as they are so different to anything else you see. I think it would look lovely with the wheels in a Gun Metal colour.
