phone up a local authority they might have an mot station and not carry out any repairs like where i work so you will get a genuine mot as they are not looking for the work ;)

its a bit silly as my old e36 m3 evo was cheaper to tax than the 172

Oh I did this to my 172 I just bought ;) as I thought it was faulty lol

If your miles to empty is just flashing ---- even after filling up the tank just do this With ignition off hold the computer button on the end of the washer stalk, while holding it turn ignition on... The dials will go mad and so will the little screen Then while still holding down the stalk...

yep i'm with direct line too ;)never had a problem with them but mine has all the details on the v5 but has a note that it has been registered over sea's

when i just insured my focus in December

never had to do that lol... they just insured the car and i have had a few imported cars lol

just run a quote as a 182 then when you phone up they just need to enter the vehicle make and model manually... my focus was like this i have never had problems with insurance just told them the reg then they just asked what it was engine size etc.... makes no difference at all !!

Decent brakes and tyres standard issue.... The first thing to do with any new purchase before even thinking of mods is a good service and health check make sure bushes suspension etc... Is all as it should be then spend money on mods!!! After all it is down to personal choice I wouldn't ask...

Standard is beautiful ;) lol Me I would get it sitting nicely, get some stance with spacers and enjoy!! I would even leave it on standard rims ;) Then save for a faster car

I would get a diagnostic check there you can see what temp the sensors is tell the ecu what it is... Could be a temp sensor on the way out

@ yellow dave I found my mk4 golfs I owned ( 2x v6 4 motions and 1 R32) the most expensive to run and I have owned an M3 , rs turbos, an rx7 etc....

you can get a bit more power out of that engine matey... remap with 110bhp injectors will see 135 ish bhp... different turbo and intercooler 150 ish ;)

you would easy get 400 miles + to a tank tbh these engines are great on fuel lol... i love the money saved compared to anything else i have owned

i think on a 1.2 its ok as you not really going for handling etc... you wanna be low and slow !!! get some coilovers on it and enjoy... you may need a new spine after tho ;) at the end of the day its your car if you like it thats all that matters !!!
