just been offered £6k As title for my 2003 (03) mk2 172. the car has done 44k miles with frsh, 10mths MOT. I was thinking this is a good price, what do you reckon??? Seriously thinking of part ex'ing it for a new leon 2.0 TDI FR.

Seen today just outside Swaffham, Norfolk approx 2pm. Either a blue 172 or 182 with an inferno meg 225 stuck to its rear end. luckly there was some twisties comming up so the clio could pull away!! :0)

i've had the pleasure of dealing with these cowboys. Needless to say I never recommend them to anyone. Highway are underwritters for companies such as HIC,AA,Greenlight,Elephant?? to name just a few. you've been warned.

I drove the blue one at West in Kings Lynn on Tuesday, off there again on monday for more repairs to be done, so another test drive is needed me thinks. also I'd like to know a rough price you paid if you dont mind me asking???

I got one today. But i had a test drive on Tuesday afternoon whilst waiting for the 172 to get fixed AGAIN!! Oh well looks like I'll have to have another test drive lol

Seen this afternoon at the end of the southern bypass heading towards Dereham. 1x Silver mk1 vee (51 plate) 1x Black mk2 172 1x Blue mk2 vee bringing up the rear. Any takers????? I was in the BRG Classic Mini heading towards Norwich. Approx 12.30

Mine had oil pissing out of them, and they still wouldnt replace them under warrenty!!

mine werent covered by warrenty. 'Apparently' they only have a 12month manufacturer warrenty. you could try phoning a stealer but I tried 3 local ones and they all told me the same story.

my mk1 172 lasted 21k miles and the mk2 172 only lasted 28k miles!!! they are shite. as said above try gsf for replacements. Easy job to fit aswell, think its 2 13mm nuts IRRC

Sounds like knackered rear shocks to me. I know this is a problem with the 172/182.

mine fell off last monday. exactly the same place as your describing. It was ok when I went to work, ie not blowing then when I went home it just cracked and fell off!! I replaced mine with a standard box as I'm looking to p/x the car soon. bloody rip off for the parts mind you. £99 +vat...
