But when the garage has already had the bottle out, to find out it was cracked, surely they know which one to get!!
And when the car does 50 miles a day 5 days a week to work on country roads, its a problem!! we dont have dole bludgers washing windscreens at traffic lights round ere!!
Took my 172 back to the dealers today for a replacement washer bottle (god knows how the first one broke).
Booked car in and chap said Itll be a couple of hours due to the fact the front bumper has to be removed!!?!! to my reply, wot to get to the windscreen area!!
Well after a 1 hour wait...
Wot I done on my Mk1 172 was to remove the inner wheel arch (plastic clips) and ran the cable up between the soundproofing. Went through the grommet as mentioned above.
If you do it this way, go to ren. and buy some new clips bout 30p each as youll prob break a few.
check to see if the cars UK spec or imported. (UK spec had alarms as standard- ultra sonics on front pillars)
Then its your basic every car checks I think.
Hope this helps
I rescued 1 from my Mk1 172 before it was taken away after being written off. Glass is good, minus back though. Think its D/side. otherside got blown to pieces.
Think renualt charge a bomb for them.
My modded mini was insured through them. Modded engine/interior/exterior.
Bit slow in paying out though!! my mini was written off august 15th (other person hit me head on) still sorting a settlement figure.
Prob use them again though.
mines got that whistle from around the driverside mirror/door seal. havent taken the car back to sort it yet, due to a slight handicap - a broken arm and broken fema!! makes it a bit hard drivin.
