It took renault 4.5 days to do my 36k service!!! in the end the smashed a belt tensioner, ruptured the aircon system just to mention a few problems!! oh and i heard today they have called the administrators in today!! HA

Glad you've got your car back. The joys of being insured by the so called insurance companies. esp HIC,Elephant,Flux (all underwritten by Highway Insurance I believe). I've had the misfortune of dealing with HIC over my none fault total loss claim.

Seen today at Swan Street Renault around 3.30pm. Sliver mk2 172 02 plate with tints. I was picking up my 172 at the same time.

I had 2 on my mk1 172 lasted 28k miles. My mk2 172 has also had 2 only lasted 25k!! Not covered under warrenty. I tried 4 local renault stealers. they use the 'wear and tear' excuse.

I've got the navman icn510i. Has the touch screen ect. You could prob pick one of these up now for under £200. I had to buy an external ariel due to the 172's reflective windscreen, but I picked this up off ebay for a tenner.

mines booked in for 2 weeks time. £213.18 this 'should' include the aux belt. plus I'm getting the rattly front suspension looked at.

I know of a silver Mk2 from the Norwich area that works in Dereham. Dont think they come on here though. Thats a good bit of spotting though!!!

I've had 2 replaced under warrenty. As its a common fault on the 172 that they just crack for no apparent reason. They get at it from the top ie. Wipers off and then the black trim, this leaves the bottle exposed.

Funny thing this, but a chap at work this morning said his daughters gauge had done the same thing. Reading 52'C. As said above anyone know how much they are, and fitment etc??
