Popped out to get some snaps tonight. I've been waiting nigh on 4 months to get my private plated fitted and the old one were hanging. So I spoilt her to some night shots. I only managed to get 3 decent ones. The rain ruined the rest. :mad:

Hi guys hoping to have another gathering either before or after xmas its your call. This is an ideas thread. I was thinking of meeting up, grabbing some food, then off to take some pictures. And it would be on a weekend. Dates I'm not fussed or location etc so let me hear your thoughts...

A quick tip as well mate, once you get your images, the ones you really like. Don't be affraid to edit them. Heres on of yours Ive done in 2 seconds. Its not amazing at all but you get the idea.

You with a quality camera mate you need to host them on flickr. It doesn't (destroy) your pictures so bad. If you dont have a tri pod rest the camera on a flat wall and also use the timer to stop camera shake when you click the button to start.

Will for night shots you need a long shutter speed. And for a long shutter speed you need a tripod to stop camera shake. Direct spot lighting wont always help. This picture I took the lighting is just off to the side, and i had a shutter speed of about 6 seconds on a tripod.

Not a query directly to do with gimp 2.6 but deffinatly linked. Basically I've taken a picture I want to use as a canvas. Now I've edited the photo and saved it. But in order to have it as a canvas I need to save the picture on a memory stick so export it from gimp into a jpeg file. Now...

Very frosty cold morning this morning! Went to turn the key and it turns and then a really high pitch noise like zzzzzz haha. Car started eventually on the 5th attempt with a blip or two of the throttle. Thoughts? Second issue once the car was started and only in the cold theres a squeaky...

Had an epic wager match last night. Fought all afternoon to get 10000 cod points to gamble it all on hardcore wager. The random map was sticks and stones. Playing all the way through, 10 seconds left in second to get 18000 points back then the guy infront of me bankrupts and I won 30000 cod...
