I ignore everyone's views everyone is diffrent when it comes to cars I still think when looking at a car you know if you want it within the first mile of driving one
Horrible the moment you relise it's cross threaded glad you sorted it when I was an apprentice I sheared off a temp sensor in a brand new 2.5k ranger cylinder head nightmare luckly it came straight out
Excatly s**t or bust I think is what you gotta do always start plugs by hand I honestly don't know how you can cross thread them if it goes tight stop undo don't keep doing it up
Looks good there is one parked outside I walk my dog past everyday the front looks so good I'm from stortford near you I believe we should go for a spin one evening got a ph2 172
I've been a mechanic for 6 years and only seen a cross threaded plug once ended up using the gun on it and it came out than helicoiled it turn it over with the plug out gets any debris if left out then pray
I'm an mot tester and just relised my mot ran out last month I've done this twice in a row I need to stop worrying about other peoples cars and sort mine that's it really
With my homemade ktec style kit I'm going to be fitting can I just take the air feed off the caustic valve and leave it there don't really want to go to all the effort of removing it if I can just leave it sitting there with no ill effect thanks
It's a tough choice seen a cracking type r but thinking do a bit a month and keep saving for a house it's still on the original clutch when I got it the previous owner who had it for 8 years was terminally I'll unfortunately so it sat in a garage for most of its life
Had my 172 ph2 for 3 years now tough decision it needs 4 tyres aux belt kit major service two front shocks and springs it's on 72k got it at 38k been super reliable but I'm begrudged spending about 8-900 on it
Tempted to sell and get a 197 or something st
Any advice?
Seriously anything :(
I'm an mot tester id fail for a bulb not many people really care or know anything about cars
Why should I put my job on the line saying get it sorted when 90% of people won't get it done they've got a pas how do I know they will get it done
Honestly does my brain in people saying o just pass it...
Not 100 percent on these but usually the pulley is on the end of the pump and the bearings are inside so I would say a whole pump and probly awkward to do knowing these
Are the Ecp springs a good fit I've fitted some to a fiesta and had to double check as they didn't really fit well thanks for info pro kit seems a good alternative/sacrifice
Got a broken front spring and knackered shock on my 172 ph2 I've got some reasonably priced genuine shocks but springs are silly money from renault I'm not intrested in lowering the car anyone know of a good quality alternative ? Cheers
We had an st in at work engine went after 2k miles engine back ordered for a month got one in fitted cars been back 4 times in 2 months various faults I wouldn't want to be stuck with that car for two years
