Anyway Scribbs it was all there...RPM was a diamond did the PDI well from what I have got. All complete and present and correct. Now how do i get my hands on a Renault Accident kit? with camera and that
Thats it basically. Its finally on my drive [just awaiting one person to scratch it to make the ownership experience complete  ]
Thanks to all those who helped and advised...
I decided all on my own like. My thought process was:-
Black - last car was black, always looks dirty too easy
Racing Blue - WTF colour IS it anyway all these different pics. Couldnt take risk
Silver - Er...NO.
Arctic...Lovely
Yellow/Paddock Green - Petrol Blue: Too much £££s
So I...
Load of old b****cks. Bet its dirt cheap though! IF you say a 182 Cupped can be picked up from Reno for £13,500 quite easily, I reckon therell be knocking these out for £11,500, maybe cheaper?
Its a usual thing. Many people buy them for show but others buy as they can aid heel and toe manouevres.
Either way, they make the car different to standard.
Resounding message to wait. Only reasons I dont want to are that I am starting a new job and will be doing 60miles a day commuting round the M25.
Doing that in a 1.1 Fiesta is not fun!
I sold my Clio for £5250 and bought a £500 Fiesta to wait the few weeks for the 182 to be delivered. Due to certain circumstances that has now turned into a few months, and 2000 miles later its still getting me by lol
Greenlight have just come back to me with a quote for £1057 for the 182!
My best quote had been with privilege at around £1350.
Thing is with Privilege I get NCB protection (4years) and a guaranteed courtesy car.
What do you think chaps?!
SuperSprint if you can take the noise especially in long trips. K-tec if not. Simple really.
Also...do you plan to keep the OE exhasut and replace it when you come to sell? If not the Supersprint will affect your sale more UNLESS a enthusiast buys your car.
Mates uncle works within the industry doing something or other with fuels.
Apparently he remembers him saying something about there being a lot of problems with the 98ron fuels lately....will try to find out what exactly....lol
The Law has only recently changed regarding Imports and warranty. Most imports only had a 1 or 2 year warranty and it was decided that this was unfair. Therefore countries within the EC (i think, or EU, whatever) NOW all vehicles have the same warranty, import or not.
Do a search.
The differences between UK and Import are;
- Import is cheaper
- A lot of ppl are wary of the word "import" and therefore this can affect resale value. Dealers will push this point in a Part Ex deal even further and offer less £££s.
- Imports are missing the Renault alarm. Thats all well...
Just read the bit about the Cat one in your post
thats unusual for an import. It cant be factory fit as the Renault dealers fit them on site IIRC so the broker must be fitting yours.
All air filters are easy to whip in and out, half hour job tops. Which one you get comes down to price your willing to pay.
172 Springs? Dunno about them fitting at all but I doubt it and even if they do I dont think it would benefit you in anyway really. Im guessing that as its an import...
Missing from most Imports:-
Cat One Alarm:- £300?
Mats:- Would guess at £100 to buy from Reno, maybe more...
Locking Wheel Nuts:- no idea would guess at Reno charging a score maybe more
Toolkit/tyre spray (?):- dunno!
There is not a better brand new hot hatch currently on the market that offers the drive, the toys and the fun of the Renault Sport Clio 182, for the £13,500 price tag. Period.
Thats all you need to know.
