Just cosIm impatient.
My 182 was on a trailor delivered to the dealer on Thursday this week. It hasnt "got" a registration yet, which of course I need to get insurance, which of course they need to get it taxed for me!
How long does it take for it to be assigned a reg (if thats the correct...
^^^ loving that idea.
If im coming from far and wide Id want summat to eat and drink, and a bog. A clean one at that though no greasy mechanics arses on it. Im very particular and would want Double Velvet or at least Charmin Ultra.
Not particularly interested in mods and I think places...
You can get a 182 from a main Renault dealer for £13,500 with metallic paint, and both Cup Packs. If you want Sat Nav youll need more.
Now lets not have any of this trade in silliness. Order the 182. Sell your car privatelly for £4000. Sorted.
Yeah its something done at the dealer mate you need to sort yourself out a set of locking nuts (well you do if u like your wheels over bricks lol)
I know torque is tightness but i didnt know there was a correct torque?!
Its a mixed bag really. I go by the fact that on the CTR front...I see LOADS about. I have seen 4 182s in total EVER. Just to be clear...I like the rarer Clio. Everyday people (not in the "know") just see a nice looking Clio, then see the 2.0 badge and are like :o. Everyone knows what a CTR...
Seen 3 mark one 172s EVER. 2 silver and one in black. The black one was at a Renault dealer and was 2001 and i was ACTUALLY considering giving them £10k for it.
It seems to me that it is pointless trying to explain the whys and wherefores of why the ownerhip experience of having a Williams is exactly that..an experience.
SO what I think Lisa really wants is a Blue Clio with Gold wheels with Williams stickers and 2.0 badges. Now im sure that can be...
Fastest you can go for the money. Plus if you take your 10k, add your VTS, it gives you around £14,500. (prices from Parkers for used VTS average mileage).
Now MOST dealers will let a 182 got with Cup options for £13,500. Thats either a grand for instant mods or for insurance.
Did my GF car with it today. Was lovely.
First we washed it with some sh*tty soapy stuff. Then I used Autoglym Super Resin Polish...then I used Autoglym Paint Renovator where I needed too...then if that didnt work I resorted to T-Cut Metallic (cue cloth turning paintwork colour - not good...
Get a decent used one. Even a high miler will still be a good motor esp if motorway miles.
The stigmaof crashed and repaired will always be there and I dont know about anyone else but any car that I have had major damage on...didnt feel "right" after the repair.
Thanks for all the replies everyone. I think ill go with them as they are around £180 cheaper than direct line, my next closest company being Tesco at around £1800!
I already have added my GF to my policy (at a different address) and she saved me around £400!
Just got my BEST 182 quote with them, £1339 per year full comp protected NCB.
Thats 21 year old male, 4 NCB, 3points.
Are they any good? Are they a reliable company (i.e. one of the big names?). Ive just never heard of them!
If ANY group of kids try doing the standing in the road and not moving thing I just f**king aim at them. I know theyll move way before I hit the brakes.
Well usually they do...
There was that one time when I ended up with a Kosovan on the bonnet of my clio as he hadnt moved. Drove with him...
Personally if i was doing it for the reason of soundproofing Id do it bit by bit. I.e one weekend doors. Next weekend boot. or Next day or whatever. Reduces the likelihood of you have 10 zillion random Renault screws lying around and random bits of plastic too. And believe me youll be amazed...
