So, despite the fact I wasn't even looking for a new car and fully intended to buy the TT in Feb/March, out of the blue this come up. A member on here looking for a Clio in PX.
I thought I'd send him and PM and things started being agreed very quickly. Less than a week later we met up at...
Am I mad?
To be honest, I'm totally fed up with how much money running a car costs these days, so I really am considering just getting rid.
I was going to get rid of the Clio in Feb (insurance runs out) and get a TT, but I'm seriously thinking of getting rid all together? I'd have to...
Apparently these are always there? I drove past yesterday with a class mate in the car and noticed them.
Judging by the mods it must be someone off of here?
I'm not sure exactly how I'll achieve this, but I want to do the following:
Download content on my MBP
Wirelessly sync this content to an external drive (1TB/2TB should do it).
View this content on my TV (apple TV here?)
Currently I download on my MBP, plug into my TV and play it, but...
Trying to perv on me in the changing room in all saints... perv.
Nice to see you mate. Wish I wasn't with my housemates, would have loved a look over your car!
This is not a for sale thread FYI, I'd just like some apple guru's opinion on how much my MBP would go for second hand.
It's the 13" 11 months old, 2 years 1 month apple care left on it, mint condition. I'm unsure upon exact spec as it's not in front of me but I think its 2.3 core 2 duo 250GB...
So, my car's always used a bit of water, but the amount was rather insignificant. (Just needed a top up every 4-6 months or so)
Did a coolant change with a member off of here (flushed from bottom rad hose and changed thermostat) since then, I'm losing a fair bit of water, I mean I went from...
Was quite heavily modded and you'd pulled up onto the grass on the dual carridgeway that runs parallel to the m25 on the anticlockwise approach to the dartford tunnel.
Anyone off here?
If I wasn't giving it hell down there I'd have stopped and offered to help out, I did try to brake, but...
Got home from work nice and early today so gave the car a good clean for the first time in about 3 months :o
Thought I'd do something a little different, so took three of the same photos with my work iPhone 4 and my own iPhone 4S...
So:
iPhone 4
iPhone 4S
iPhone 4...
Well, I know it's early days but so far my first impressions with Vodafone aren't great.
Firstly, no visual voicemail? Really?
I mean there's only been like 3 iPhones since they weren't exclusive to o2, so maybe they haven't had enough time to update their system?
Also, I'm not sure if...
Hoped it would just the balljoint bolts being loose, but it's not.
I can replicate the knocking by grabbing the wheel at 12 and 6, there's a fair bit of movement.... top mounts?
So, the gf popped into apple tonight for me, to pick up a "Mini display port to VGA connector", when in there the guy badgered her to buy the Mini display port to HDMI connector, saying that as my TV was HD, this would be better....
Now, I intend to use this so that I can play films off my MBP...
Just FYI to you all:

After widening the track 50mm this weekend, taking some god awful photos of it (and being moaned at for them)... I pulled my finger out, gave the car a wash and popped somewhere for some half decent photos.
Nothing too exciting, and they're only iPhone pics as I seem to have lost my camera...
Where do I get one of these from??
From what I've read, when changing the coolant you need to put a new one of these on, is it a Renault only job?
If so, part number?
I got this from someone at work earlier, basically saying someone was having issues sending us mail... now I'm not massively up on email stuff, but I thought some of you lot may well be....
All ideas welcomed.
Got some bits sorted on the Clio yesterday round at TheEvilGiraffe's place, unfortunately not the "clicking/ticking" noise I have....
Oil / oil filter change, two new balljoints, air filter clean and a full on wheels off clean.
Whilst I cracked on with taking s**t apart, other Rob took all the...
Mainly when pulling off/changing direction?
I've been led to believe it's driveshaft (well CV joint) but could it be a wheel bearing?
Or something else entirely?
It's a very noticeable ticking, also happens at slow speed when coming on and off the thottle or hitting a bump?
All...
Just a thank you to everyone for actually turning up on time etc, and a general well done for a very successful convoy.
I've never managed to keep so many car's relatively together. Over 25 in total I believe.
Sorry for the slight wrong turn, blame Scrooge.
First thing's first, get petrol before you arrive to any of the meet's, we're not sitting watching you fill up whilst we wait
I know there's already a thread but they may be taking a different route, and I'd like an idea of who's even coming out of what I'd consider "My lot" i.e those that...
This is for those that have dampening adjustment only ...
Has anyone got the info on how they're adjusted?
I've either lost, or never had mine...?
Basically, the little "bit" on top of the struts pops up and down...
Do I need to up or down to adjust?
Also, which way makes it...
Just a little note here for the ph1 172 owners on here...
Ever since owning my car, it's had quite a stiff throttle pedal, I assumed this was just due to it being cable and not electric like the ph2... this weekend my cable frayed, and with this the pedal got VERY notchy, so it had to be...
So, my clutch is currently dead (just when the car felt better than ever before), even with it's issues, it got me to Luton, so I gave the wheels a quick going over, and took some shots (only iPhone pics for now):
Some half decent pics of the phase 2 dash:
The latest...
As far as I was aware, the clutch is something that slowly wear's away... Buy today I went to get in my car, (which has been amazing lately) and it judders heavily as I pull away.
I didn't think much of it, but then it does it the next time I go to pull away, and then it turns out it does it...
