    Non Starter :(

So, put a new engine in the flamer, wouldn't start. Machine gun type noise. Sounded and thought it was the starter motor. Swapped it earlier for a second hand one which is proven. Same noise still, no start. @Budgie and I have tried to pin point a bad earth. Charged the battery up. Tried to jump...

    RS Tuner query

@Chip-mk1 @MartinR @Fastchip Guys, Henk, I've bought a reprog license and a 98 ron map from Henk. He sent back last night only one 'file'. Following MartinR's guide here (http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?667018-RStuner-guide) I was expecting both an RST file and a Cal file. The...

Converting 172 ABS setup to Cup Setup

Guys, I've been having problems with the flamer for a while regarding it popping a brake fuse and going 50/50 on the bias. I thought it would be the wire behind the heatshield on the bulkhead, but it isn't , can't see any obvious signs of damage to the loom anywhere. What parts do I need to...

    Radiator

So, the flamer decided to spit all of its coolant out last weekend via a hole in the radiator. My question is this. I am intending at some point this year to ITB the car, and I am aware people replace the radiator with a polo one. Is it worth me doing that now, or getting a standard 172/182...

ABS Problems - driving me nuts

Right, since last years llandow trackday the flamer keeps popping ABS fuses. Usually if I go over a bump in the road or corner sharply or use the brakes hard. Swap the fuse, and the christmas tree dash goes out, only to then pop the fuse again as soon as I drive it. I have checked all the ABS...

Interior Goodies - alternative to Sabelt RS Wheel

The flamer is going in for a roll cage, seats etc in a few weeks and i'm going for a 'white and black' interior theme predominantly (cage is white, black sparco seats etc). So, I got Chris (Autocrash) to spray me a few custom bits and bobs. Once again, his work was excellent and he is a top...

    Decisions, decisions - help needed.

Its my 30th in November, and I have the greenlight from the better half to spend another chunk of cash on the flamer again. We are getting married in Sept, so I have been saving and I should have some of the pot left over, roughly a £3kish budget give or take. I'm gradually turning the...

    Insurance repair classic

Just had a voicemail from the car repair place my insurers are using to fix the flamer. To cut long story short, there were very minor scuffs and a dent inflicted on my front bumper as a result of an altercation with an electric gate. Now, I wasn't going to put it through insurance if it wasn't...
