Santa Pod - bets on times

I'm off on Sunday to my first 'RWYB' at 'the pod'. I'm running the flamer which has circa 197 bhp (cams, induction, exhaust, plenty of mapping), Gripper Diff, lowered on Bilsteins but other than that stock. Not stripped. So, for a purely average driver (I.e. me) what time can I expect. Place...

    My 1st efforts at a mini-detail.......

It seems this weekend was 'flamer cleaning' weekend. Steve from R-Sports did his, Dawn (Magpie V6) did her's and I had a stab at my very first 'detail'. Made a school boy error, not taking photos before hand. Suffice to say, it was 'dirty' at best, 'filthy' at worst. :o I'm no expert (in...

The difference some mechanical loving (and 438 cams....) makes....

Got my flamer back from K-Tec today after the work I left it for (12k service, mounts, cams and remapping). With the 438 cams and mechanical TLC from Mike and some free of charge custom induction kit creation from Andy, coupled to the mapping, got me a rise from 174.8 bhp / 156 lb ft to 197 bhp...

    Bonnet Pins

Guys and Gals, In the first half of 2012 the clio will be blessed with some Cams and ITBs amongst other goodies (as long as the GF isn't monitoring the bank balance). My questions for this part of the forum are on the bonnet pins. First question is, I assume bonnet pins are a must as the...

Cub's Flamer - Supercharged, Cage etc

Had it about 8 months now, bought from JMS with a replacement engine and gearbox. I have a varied car background, from humble rover metro GTAs to a 911 C4S, but I wanted a 172 to be able to get my hands dirty(ish) and the plan is to make it a fast road / occassional trackday car and mod it...
