You're waiting for the new cage to be produced I assume? I emailed safety devices last week and they've confirmed the current ones are no longer Msa approved and are now specified as track day only
Speedo sensor will cause the speedo to play up (on 172's and 172 cups, later 182's use the abs system) don't remember mine causing power surges though, not saying it couldn't happen just didn't experience it when my sensor gave up
In road wheel I assume rather than steering wheel? If so then it narrows things down to either bottom ball joint or track rod end depending on where abouts you're rocking the wheel from at the time
Definitely is, I'd love a ph1 but I don't have the room for another at the moment, and with the amount being broken up/scrapped they'll only go up in value
Really refreshing to see one being repaired rather than broken up, especially being a ph1. Good luck with the bodywork, looking forward to seeing it back in one piece

There is a fuel pressure sensor/regulator on the high pressure pump that's on the engine (runs off cambelt), I'm sure a fault with that can bring up df137 fault codes although there are probably other issues that'll do the same.
My wife's old dci had an issue with the above, I took the sensor...
More than likely be the top mount on suspension, could possibly be track rod end but you can quickly check for any free play there with the wheel in the air.
The top mount design isn't great on a mk2 (assuming yours is a mk2 and not an early mk3) and lends itself to becoming loose and...
I like the thought of standalone but it's a bit further down the line for me, brakes and suspension first, then I'll be looking at either itb's or a turbo. All in good time I guess
99% certain I've used what was originally the bolt hole for passenger seat belt, where the spiral bar bolted into the base of the B pillar.
Its the first time I've done it so there's probably easier ways to do things but mine works perfectly well, does need some tidying up but that'll be done...
I run a powervamp clubsport with a manual Fia cut off switch, seems a decent battery to be fair and as long as the switch is left disconnected the battery stays charged, even in the cold weather we've recently had. I only use my clio on track so I only tend to start it up once a week and it's...
Apart from the high level brake light connector aren't the looms identical? I changed the boot lid on my Mrs old dci and whilst it is admittedly fiddly it is possible to remove the loom and refit without cutting the plugs off.
I do have a list somewhere of what wire does what, I'll see if I...
Price @car.crash ? Last time I checked they worked out to £55 ish a tyre in 195 50 15 for the vr2, vr1 were somewhere around £42 from memory. Would need to be shipped from Poland though
They're produced in Germany for a Polish company, using British rubber, they're produced by the company that was shown on one of the wheeler dealer episodes (green and orange panda 4x4)
I know this because my neighbour is one of the directors for the rubber company, based in Lydney Glos, I've...
I haven't yet Wyn but thanks for the heads up, I'm not too worried about the weight as long as I can get it to work, otherwise I'll look at some other options
Thanks

Ahh OK, that sounds like a better idea. Will have a look into the Meg setup, don't suppose you'd know if it's just the dci's or do most run the same?
Thanks

I'd replace anything that looks damaged before going to an alignment specialist, the warning lights will be on due to something being out of alignment from the impact, its surprising how even a relatively small impact can bend various suspension components
Definitely food for thought there thank you, ideally I'd like to keep all 3 if I can, I'll get hold of another throttle pedal and see what the insides are like and go from there
Thanks

Apologies if I haven't put this in the right section
So me and the wife went to autosport on Saturday and I made the mistake of letting her loose on her own, 10 minutes later she comes back holding a box full of bits. Floor mounted pedals to be precise, now I'm more than happy with setting up...
Bent steering rack end, bent wishbone, unlikely but always a chance the subframe has taken a knock too depending on what speed you were doing on impact
So mini update time
Picked up a lower subframe from @Slygreen a couple of weeks ago, again thanks for the message and saving me a trip. Was greatly appreciated
Managed to have a test fit the other night, only to find that my side mounts partially cover the holes to bolt the frame in place so...
I think this is the part number for the plastic guide you're after 7700838242
I couldn't find any in the UK by putting it into ebay directly, however when typing it in to Google along with Renault in front it does appear that you can buy them online...
