Can someone please help me, my 2002 clio 172 won't rev past 3000 rpm and the electrical fault light is showing, I have had a local mechanic come out and plug in the diagnostic reader and it says that there is a problem with the immobiliser decoder ring. Does anyone know how to solve this...

I know the actual problem mate, just need to know how the immobiliser works. If it's run from the oem ecu or omex.

Managed to get the Clio on a diagnostic reader today and the fault shows up as the immobiliser ring. I'm a little bit confused as I expected there to be a fualt with the throttle body or the ecu. So I think i am going to go down the route of buying a Race Technology dash2 and a cable throttle...

So do you have a guide of how to do this, how much do you charge?

I could of guessed that myself, I need to know if it's possible to do and what sensors I also need.

I need some help, I'm running an omex 710 ecu and am wanting to get rid of my standard ecu which is there to run the FBW throttle body and the standard dash clocks. Because Omex can't run a FBW throttle body, I need to get a cable version. Is this just a case of buying a ph1 172 throttle body...

I know what he meant, you have to pay for that sort of info.

It comes up as a Trophy on hpi, just a little bit suspicious as to why it's so cheap :S
