Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
Really appreciate the offer Dan! This forum is brilliant, really appreciate all the effort people have made to get the car back. :)
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
Thanks for all the comments guys!
The car hasn't been driven or unlocked so will be nothing internally and as it's been raining all weekend the police stated the likelihood of getting any prints off the car will be extremely small.
Will have to wait for a...
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
Joking aside, this is a serious possibility tonight.
No, it wouldn't be registered as stolen recovered as there was no insurance pay out or recovery.
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
About 2 miles away mate.
I am trying to find somewhere safe to keep it for a few days until the heat dies down but something needs to be sorted for the long term.
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
The car hasn't been driven or even unlocked as it beeped when I unlocked it, indicating the alarm has gone off at some point. The car is fully intact and there is no damage at all.
Extremely lucky! Only down side is that it's been raining all day so any finger...
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
I was called by a member of the public who had seen the appeal on Facebook. He said he had seen a silver clio with no numberplates in a lane by Barton Hill Trading Estate yesterday evening. I called the police straight away and ran down there and it was just sat...
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
Yeah I saw that! You could have all the security in the world. The fact is if someone wants it they will do whatever it takes to get it.
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
Mine is very sensitive normally but nobody heard anything when it was stolen. I'm pretty confident it was low loaded so no windows were smashed or anything.
I'm not sure, it's something I would definitely consider though! Especially now.
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
I was out the majority of yesterday and have been out looking all morning. I agree on the time scale, the first 72 hours are the most critical.
LOL! Thanks mate, appreciate the help. :)
Its all over the internet and Facebook so it's common knowledge at the...
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
I have had a few leads which have been followed up but no sign of it yet. Starting to really sink in now, just trying to remain positive.
Thanks Martin, really appreciate all the support! It's certainly a watched car at the moment.
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
This is the general consensus mate, the next 24 hour or so will be critical. The police seem to think it will be local to see if it's tracked and will then be moved. Just really hoping it turns up, it's starting to sink in now and I feel like my heart has been...
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
Thanks guys!
The support from everyone has been brilliant, I really appreciate it. It's great to see there are some decent people out there!
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
Yeah I did mate, they said they haven't taken it and wouldn't lift at night unless it's an obstruction.
Cheers mate, really appreciate the effort!
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
It's a horrible feeling! It's the principle more so than the money. I have put hours and hours of time and effort into the car to get it to where I'm happy and some utter scumbag thinks it's acceptable to just lift it. I guess it's just money to them though.
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
I'm inclined to agree mate. I have covered as much ground as possible today but it could be literally anywhere. I am going to get the bike out tomorrow!
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
I jogged down there and spent an hour walking up and down and checking out the side streets. Nothing to be seen, worth a try none the less!
Thanks for all the comments guys, my mind is in overdrive but it could be literally anywhere by now. :(
