Suffered exactly the same, new coils sorted me out. I dialectic grease them + use coil pullers and so far I have avoided snapping them again 🤞
Hope it's an easy sort
Been flying round the Somerset countryside for a few hundred miles having a great time, but now back to planning and/or worrying about maintenance. To start off with I am not sure what the aux tensioner bushing is doing here. May need to give TwoTechs a bell. Only done 1K mile so far but not...

Some info in this thread, I have no idea myself but maybe something in here that's useful to you
Last little update for now. Was loosing first gear sometimes when stopping due to the stiff shift rocking around. As its a 3.0 it had bolts that would get in the way of a large o-ring. Also if I tighten the Stiff Shift down is squeaks loudly like a clown car made of balloons. Solution was to 3D...
Headlights out. The left headlight had a popped out adjuster but I replaced it anyway. The right side adjuster had blown into 12 pieces as well as the middle pop mount out of place... As there are mismatching bulbs I can only guess someone had a real hard time trying to replace the bulb while...
Time to look over the car while its off the road for a few weeks, interesting....
Also interesting...
If anybody has sources to replace these plugs please give me a shout
Also the clutch fork boot is loose, I wonder how much old oil has made its way in there
Oh well, time to get the...
Cant answer for all insurers but Howdens told me that it would, went with Greenlight in the end - asked the advisor but he was too northern to understand over the :poop: phone line noise
Will probably sink a silly amount of money in and end up doing the same in a number of years... But that's a problem for then!
Appreciate you dropping by, will give you a shout if anything a comes up - appreciate it
After lurking for 7 years I have found myself in a position to do something stupid with my money. I could invest in a OEM spec Clio, keep it tasteful and sit on it as an 'investment'. Or buy something outrageous and hopefully have a lot of fun...
The spec sheet is on the forum from some old...
I think the best thing to do is pull the gear linkage out of the gearbox from the circlip/pivot. That way you don't mess with the alignment of the linkage, hopefully when you reattach it to the box it still lines up
If you are fully removing the subframe you should only need to remove the...
You will need to remove the spider mount on top of the gearbox (3 bolts), and the gear linkage of course, top mount and rear mount can be left in place if you are moving the sub frame. just remember to support the engine from below during/after
What springs are on the shocks?
I'm sure sport springs are stiffer than 1.2, but most sport owners change to Eibach (sportline) to get more stiffness and drop, I run a set and enjoy them (on a 1.2)
The shocks most likely won't fit on the front due to hub spacing, the rears are interchangable...
Exactly the same thing happened to me. The airbag frame had been bent, so the slots in the dash wouldn't release. My solution was to unplug and unscrew the passenger airbag in situ and bring it out with the dash - super fiddly with a 1/4 wrench but it worked.
Then bent the airbag frame back...
