They're Netgear - therefore, rubbish in a corporate environment. ;) Get some HP Procurve or Cisco stuff on the go. Procurve is cheaper than Cisco, and it's pretty solid. Good kit.

I had an original HTC Touch.. and it was, without a doubt, the worse piece of technology I've ever had the misfortune of using.. Not even ActiveSync could save it.. Slow, TouchFlo is useless, poorly laid out, pah. Horrible. I lasted 4 months with it, and bought a Motorola RAZR2. Sorted...

Smackbook nearly cost me an eBay bidding. I had the laptop on my knee, but everytime I moved, it moved desktops.. (I had ti set at maximum sensitivity) Was annoying. Was trying to bid and the screen was just rotating! :p Apart from that, it worked well.

I doubt Apple would give the student discount in America. They have different schemes there. You need to goto the Apple store from a Uni PC to get discount here (or a computer/laptop with a University IP address).

a) No real deals. You have to wait until someone like Comet does something, otherwise, it's a pretty fixed price. Comet at Christmas did £99 for the box, £30 install as long as you took out Sky Talk (£0 each month) which was awesome. b) I know someone who did buy a box from eBay.. installed...

Oh no, not this again :( If you do need SCART, *maybe* there will be some difference, but if it's just Sky HD, Xbox, PS3 etc, then stick with a £5 HDMI cable and be done with it.. ;)

Yea, what McBunny was going on about, is that there are only a handful of channels in HD on Sky HD, and only a handful of programs.. most is still SD.

The fact it has a built in freeview tuner suggests that it can display non-HD channels.. It doesn't make sense that it can't.. Definetely upgrade to Sky HD to get the full benefits on some programs, tho.

I've never, ever seen a phone affect anything on a computer, laptop, server, monitor etc. The worse it gets is noise on speakers and vibrating the screen on old CRT monitors. Apart from that.. nothing.
