Our old focus was £30 a year tax or £0 for 6months on the renewal form.
When end you tried to tax it they would only let you tax it for a year. 6 months was not an option which is why it stated it at £0.
SRP is no more of a polish than tripple, both are all in one type products with very minor polishing, more of a chemical cleaner. Good filling and glazing oils with a little of its own protection
they are both great for quick touch ups before waxing to cleanse the paint but won't do much else
Dodo juice born to be mild shampoo
G3 clay mitt from halfords
autofinesse tripple
gtechniq C2 spray sealant (can be diluted to use as a quick detailer)
Quick and easy to use alternatives
The autofinesse pads and compounds are actually a pretty good combo when I used them by DA. They cut and finished down pretty well
they work as well as menzerna / Hexlogic combo IMO but with far less options making it much simpler to choose so for that reason alone I'd choose the AF kit
You certainly don't need 1200 grit for those headlights. Use a milder sand paper and put more effort in
Addicted why did you use tripple when they said hand polish it? Tripple certainly isn't going to touch a quartz coating, even one that hasn't cured properly as tripple isn't a true polish...
No, but I spent £90 on both Autofinesse Sprit and Zymol Glasur waxes. Also have Autofinesse Desire that is worth £120 but I won that.
£100 for wax isn't anything unusual for a keen hobbyist detailer. Have a look at the waxes linked below for example...
Has the bumper been heat treated / cooked in the oven after being painted? This will aid the curing of the paint so you can treat it a little more normal, or was it painted on the car and not heated after painting
CYC are more often than not shocking at processing orders! You can request next day delivery but it will take them 3 days from receiving your order before they send it out to the delivery company
Likewise, always have stock of demon shine spray on shine
zaino z6 just does everything so well
AF Finale is so versatile, as is britemax spray and shine
Prima slick is exactly what the name suggest
victoria detail looks lovely
wrap the MF suede cloth around the block, first application of DLUX to the cloth use more than proceeding applcations (still don't need loads) as this will prime the applicator. it should then spread fairly easily without dragging and leave a feint clear smear as such on the surface.
Ideally...
You shouldn't leave it to cure as the reaction happens almost immediately.
Apply to the rear of the wheel, then go back to where you started and lightly buff it off, so light that you're only really spreading the remaining product around, then lightly buff again to ensure excess residue. then...
Now it's had a good tidy up, look into proper wash and maintenance routine to keep it looking nice. Might mean you find yourself spending more time in the detailing section though!
i do like this era 3 series
Hair dryer to warm up the glue and make it soft. You should be able to pull it off then. Soak a MF in tar and glue remover and leave over the remaining sticky pad left on the panel for a few minutes and it should be ready to start coming off
Get yourself a quick detailing spray and good quality microfibre cloth to give the car a quick wipe down after drying to bring back that just waxed look
Localised machine polish will see the worst if not all of that come out.
It's surprising what defects can be removed with the right approach, I got rid of some nasty bird poo etching yesterday with with Scholl S30 and a finishing pad
Polymer net shield had excellent water behaviour. Superior to BSD. But felt grabby when applying
this is supposed to be nicer to use with a little shorter durability
Don't they do a zymol shampoo that's wax safe?
megs gold class is a decent shampoo but it has gloss enhancers in it so will leave a fine layer of its own over your wax until it wears off. Can't think what other mega shampoos they do if any of them are bare wax and gloss free shampoos
Ill try and take a photo of my front wing. The previous owner reckoned he knew how to remove swirls and bird etching and claimed he'd even sanded back some marks! I've hit the front wing with some aggressive cutting combos but it's f@cked. Only option is to try and wet sand it again but properly...
