Oooooo sound splendid ;)
Can scan the pad into the PC for an accurate suface area or just do a rough calc. Very interested in this so will pop over with the old digital calipers.
Ah ok, we had a little chat with you towards the end of Friday, I had no idea you were in Worcs area! Sorry to hear about the race. :(
Lol at Freds comment.
Tiny because the caliper is Huuuuuge!
Fred, I don't mind that at all. If it's a worthwile purchase then i'll slap the wilwoods on the track car when we get it.
Back to your original point about the 4 pots doing the same work as OE setup. Are you saying the smaller pads are worse off becasue...
Significant, no. I'd say they are an improvement over brake fade but it's not a night/day thing you notice. Not for cheap/midrange 4 pots anyway. I'm slightly for them over OE but not a huge amount, the pads are only £56 which is a bonus however.
One bleed nipple was lose but only a dribble came out. This was towards the end when I felt the pads going off and then Nick taking Sam out for a drive and pads were non existant. I'm glad I didn't push for that extra lap lol, also glad Nick didn't have the issue at a fast place on the track...
Poor memory sorry "The Fred", I've put the mintex back on till they cheese grate away then slap the DS3000 on with plain discs. Do you think they are the sole reason? I know you think wilwood are poo anyway.
I'm running what I can assume is the K-Tec wilwood kit with standard size Brembo max and DS2500 pads...
I've done 2 trackdays at Donny and they have worn down to the backing plate, is this something people have experianced with this kit or similar? I've used DS2500 on standard calipers in the...

If people aren't too sure this week we can always put it back till next weekend.
Not road legal and I don't want to thrape the car around on the road to get wrid of the rubber. Yeah the small rubber balls/patches that build up and cool down.
Should I always have the wheels ballanced after every track day and does it matter if there is still old rubber that hasn't come off?
I still have some old rubber pickup from my last track day and it doesn't want to budge. Is it ok to use a heat gun to remove the stuff?
Cheers,
Mike
