I love the colours in 2 and the little line caused by a boat is a nice lead in line.
#1 is an extremely common viewpoint but your sky is almost cloud free making it blander than a lot of the other long exposures taken from this spot. Now I know you can't magic clouds but if you could or you do...
Take a photo of your hand with your phone, ensure it's life size, I.e. your fingers should be as big on screen as in real life. Display picture on phone. Hold phone in hand and arrange fingers to match screen. Having already set up your main camera aim and fire.
Ok
Mount camera on tripod
Turn off VR
Set to manual focus and focus
10 second timer or IR remote
Take a picture and if its sharp start adding ion some of the variables above until you have nailed where the issue lies.
I like that Adele if i was being picky i'm not sure how much critical sharpness you have but iirc you use a macro filter rather than a lens?
Nice shot Turkish

Taken a couple of weeks ago on a combined photography trip/night out!!!
All taken with Sony SLT65 and Tamron 17-50 non vc, most...
Well perhaps not a whole gazillion but certainty half ;)
Check out this link and select a m43 camera to compare against the Canon. Its very noticeably better from iso 400 onwards and 1600+ is just a joke for the little Canon but as I was purporting to its not a fair test and the two cameras...
Lovely shots Dan
Why all the different colours for such a 'serious' piece of work kit? They all say 82S! Please tell me they are all different and that the police aren't using pretty colours aka mobile phone snap on kits!
I am defiantly a live view man lol, I love shooting from the hip, waistfinder style, great for street photography as people don't even think your pointing it at them!
Having shot at a beach last week, a soft grad was great as it also toned down the exposure in the rock pool I was using as middle/foreground interest.
SamP do you have a link to this hard/soft - fullframe/crop stuff as I have never heard of it said in that context.
Oddly the flip up screen is the first thing I look for in a camera! I love being able to flip out that screen and use angles that you either can't with a std lcd or have to get in some sort of yoga pose to use.
