Paul, google 'defishing', you can dowload free software that can defish the lens, effectively giving you a regular wide angle lens. Might be worth a try for when you want wide angle without the distortion.
Scott I would stick with what you have, f5.6 is a perfect aperture for a 'landscape' lens indeed stop it down to f8 and you probably have the perfect balance of sharpness and dof.
Why do you want faster in such a lens?
A wide angle doesn't especially lend itself to bokeh or low dof and is...
Well the subjects not the most ineteresting and the composition is poor at best.
Ask yourself what you achieved from a long exposure? No movement in the pic or anything that simply switching to a higher iso wouldn't have achieved.
I am not sure if you are trying to do night photography or...
On long exposures or normal? Heres the best tip for everyone doing long exposures, turn OFF any stability control system ;) Its also taken with a tack sharp macro lens and a downsampled 24 megapixel file.

Given I've just done this (yesterday!) I probably won't go again so soon but would offer the following advice. Travel light, travel superlight! Don't carry a full-size tripod, just a mini one. Wrap up warm and take water!

That's just been released on Nex too, although god knows why a system that is short on lenses now has two fisheyes, maybe to match the two 30mm primes and two 18-200's!!!!!!!
